For eighteen years our sangha has gathered in a rented hall. Vision 2030 is our commitment to raise a permanent temple, cultural hall, and learning center of our own — a place every generation of our community can call home.

Eighteen Years in a Rented Hall
Since 2007, our sangha has held Durga Puja, Saraswati Puja, and every weekly satsang in a hall we don't own — booked around wedding parties and corporate events, packed away in storage bins between festivals.
Our children have grown up learning Bengali and Gita shlokas folding chairs at a time. Vision 2030 gives them a room that's always theirs: a sanctuary that doesn't have to be returned by 10pm.
The design keeps that history in mind — a temple hall sized for our real festival crowds, a kitchen built for langar service, and classrooms that don't double as someone else's storage closet.
A Word from Our Trustees
Every rupee and every dollar given to Vision 2030 carries someone's prayer with it — a grandmother's blessing, a child's first pledge from their allowance. We are not just laying brick. We are building the room where our grandchildren will one day bring their own children.

Frequently Asked
Why not renovate the rented hall instead?
We don't own the current space, so we can't build the kitchen, murti placement, or storage our rituals actually need. Renovating someone else's building also doesn't solve the booking conflicts that push our festivals around other events.
How are donations used?
100% of Vision 2030 donations go toward land, construction, and permitting costs. Day-to-day sangha operations are funded separately through membership dues, so building gifts aren't diverted to keep the lights on elsewhere.
Can I sponsor a specific room or feature?
Yes. Families can sponsor a classroom, an archway, or a section of the temple hall, with a dedication plaque placed on completion. Reach out to our trustees to discuss naming opportunities.
Is my donation tax-deductible?
Yes. Sree Sree Gita Sangha Inc. is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit, and you'll receive a receipt for tax purposes with every donation.
